Suggested First Tasks
We reached out to ReproducibiliTea and asked them what they suggest freshly minted rigor champions interested in becoming involved with their community do to get a sense of the culture and vision. These are listed below, and we strongly recommend giving them a shot!
Build your own reading list! (~5 to 10 minutes)
One of the coolest things ReproducibiliTea does is assemble rigor & reproducibility oriented reading lists. While these are primarily intended for journal clubs, you are welcome and encouraged to take a look and build your own list of interesting papers to review!
Check out the ReproducibiliTea podcast! (~50 minutes)
The ReproducibiliTea team regularly publishes podcast episodes on all things rigor & reproducibility. The episodes are about an hour long each and perfect for a commute or to listen to in the background while coding or doing bench work!
Join an existing ReproducibiliTea journal club! (~5 minutes)
You can check the official ReproducibiliTea website for a map of all existing journal clubs as well as a search function that allows you to search for your institution or region. We encourage you to check it out and see whether someone has started a journal club near you!
Start your own ReproducibiliTea journal club!
If there isn’t a rigor & reproducibility journal club at your institution already, ReproducibiliTea provides you with every resource you could possibly need to start one of your own, from promotional posters to hosting guides and even themed reading lists. It may sound intimidating, but this community specializes in helping you every step of the way.
